I’m glad I don’t live in Kansas, Oaklahoma, or any other part of Tornado Alley

Check out this site called TornadoVideos.net

These guys are a tad crazy – they actually WANT to see a tornado form (they’re professional tornado chasers after all), but they do in fact call into radio stations and such when they see the thing form and develop, and are often the best early warning system for people out there.. so it’s not like they don’t care whether people get hurt or not. Their videos of the tornadoes as they roar past are unbelievable.

  • Yup southern ON is no stranger to tornadoes. I saw a funnel cloud over my place in Ottawa a few years ago too.

  • Actually, Scott – you DO live in Tornado Alley, according to some Canadian meteorologists who have dubbed a region of southwestern Ontario as the Canadian ‘Tornado Alley’. :em11:

As this area is an extension of the Ohio Valley plus you factor in the Great Lakes, this area ranks #1 in Canada for tornadoes with approx 32% of them happening right here. So watch those skies and keep tuned to your weather alerts online. :em21:
