The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

If there’s anything good about this nasty Newfoundland-Ottawa spat, its that Harper and company feel obligated to spend some of their war-chest on running ads attacking a Conservative Premier in Newfoundland… rather then say, spending it on more attack ads on Dion, or having it for the next election campaign.

So, for whatever people say about Williams and whether his stance is justified or not, I say bravo, keep it up, Danny.

EDIT: Aaron tells me its taxpayers money being used to fund the Newfoundland assault – not Conservative Party money. A pity… but the distraction part is still there. Some bloggers – even Liberal ones – want Danny to shut up.. but I encourage him still to keep driving Harper and Co. to distraction.

At least try to get your facts straight. If you’re going to be a party hack, you have to try a bit harder.

  • I am so with Danny Williams on this. What did he say today, something like, I’m a progressive Conservative, the PM is a regressive conservative? I’m a progressive progressive myself, but go Danny.

  • I agree with this one..i actually like the fight between two of them. Its also good for Dion :em23: .. Harper is probably the only prime minister who is spending so much money on attack ads while being in power.

  • As I like to say, don’t mess with Danny Millions! Love it, love it, love it…:) I absolutely agree with you that Danny should keep it up! The CBC reported tonight that Williams has a 75% approval rating. Harper wants to mess with that? Be my guest!

    I’m with Danny too.

Peter McKay was interviewed by Steve Murphy on ATV News tonight. The more he tries to cover for the Harper budget, the more votes he is likely to lose. Maybe Elizabeth May did pick a good riding after all.

Premier Shawn Graham of NB is starting to criticize the budget also. It’s high time the Atlantic region stops getting screwed by Ottawa.

    Go Danny go.

    ‘cynical, Nope.. its called realpolitik.’

I thought the same when Williams was bullying Martin. But I think the outcome for Williams will be very different, this time.
That meanie Harper will not kiss butt.

I’m with Danny keep it up. I’m damned however to think it’s fine for the taxpayers to pay for Steve’s petulance.

Imagine, the gov’t of Canada going after a province, (its leader), with our money.

Get a grip Haperites. This is just wrong.
