A Reminder From The Not-too-distant past….

…What Canada’s New Government(tm), would have been doing in 2003 if they’d been Canada’s New Government(tm) back then:

Harper tells Fox News Most Canadians Support Iraq War

In an interview with the American TV network, Harper said he endorsed the war and said he was speaking “for the silent majority” of Canadians. Only in Quebec, with its “pacifist tradition,” are most people opposed to the war, Harper said.

  • “Well, quite obviously the point is we would have been…”

If what? Harper became PM? Oh wait…..

Excuse me, I have to go write a post criticizing Paul Martin’s performance in the 2004 leadership debate.

  • The point is, if he had been PM then, we would be in Iraq, and if he ever gets majority and for some resason, we are needed for Iran or Syria, and have enough troops, we will be there helping the Neo- Cons in the States.

  • John

Well, quite obviously the point is we would have been – and maybe as a reminder of the arrogance and poor judgment of our minority PM?

But you know that already so why do you ask – really?

  • Yet Harper is the PM and Canadian troops aren’t in Iraq. So what’s the point?
