The end of the beginning.

My explanation for why I am no longer posting editorials at Prog Blog has gone up, and I expect a few curious passers-by will be coming around to see my new pulpit where I will be blogging my opinions from, so to all of you… welcome!

I’m still playing with the site, but I think for now this is a good start to how I want it to look, so I imagine within the next day or 2, I’ll be starting to post my “political thoughts” on here, rather then the posts so far that were more to see how they looked when posted on the site.

Finally, I can post here “in person”. WordPress is a miserable little application that causes problems for different people. And it all depends on the version of WP and the author’s settings.

I couldn’t post a comment at first without getting an error message. I have done some research in the archives of WP tech support, and I found I had to do some settings changes in my Norton Firewall. So, now it works.

  • Ok using your new subscribe to thread.

  • Thanks folks for all the best wishes. (Do these new emoticons I enabled actually work, by the way? :em19:

Hmm.. I guess they do :em20:

  • It’s fitting that the most visible character from one of the biggest political blog sites in Canada, finally gets his own blog πŸ˜€

Delighted to have you Scott! A very welcome addition and I hope it is a sign of continued growth for the party . . . look forward to reading more of your thoughts. nic.

Welcome to the Party Scott! Great to see such a thoughtful committment.

  • Good to see that you have come out of the snipers’ closet, Scott. Now we will have the humourous opportunity to see you try to defend your own positions.

BTW, isn’t “progressive” and “Liberal” an oxymoron when used in the same sentence? Truth in advertising, you know.

Nice blog design, BTW, on a serious note. I never could get the Andreas series of templates to install and work properly on mine.

  • Welcome. You’ll be added to my blogroll shortly πŸ™‚

  • It’s always easy to make a point, less so to make a decision. Congrats on taking the more difficult path.

    Good show.

  • Yay! Scott! Welcome!

    Cheers,

JJ (aka A Liberal in DC)

  • Welcome to blog land Scott! I glad you decided to get one. And thanks for finally letting us in on the reason you wouldn’t be posting at Prog Blogs.

Even though you are a Card Carrying Liberal, I look forward to reading your blog. I keep an open mind too. Hey, if we all agreed on politics, we’d have nothing to blog about. When I joined, I noticed that I was the only person who supports (I think) the Canadian Action Party. I was fully prepared for an onslaught of critical comments, but it hasn’t happened, maybe because no one see’s them as a threat YET. (They will be) πŸ™‚

I can see how you got caught up in the Liberal Campaign. I did too. And I’ll even admit that if I didn’t feel so strongly about NAFTA and the NAU, I would have jumped on the Dion bandwagon too. I think he was a wise choice. I guess time will tell.

  • Congrats on the new site – the new digs are pretty cool so we will also be looking forward to cool content. You know by now that Dippers will be dropping in frequently as well! All the best here at the new location!

  • Scott,
congrats on the new blog. I like the colour scheme. looking 4ard to reading your posts!
    -Rachel.

  • I am happy to hear that you have found somewhere to express your personal opinions.

  • Looking forward to hearing from the “new” Scott Tribe πŸ™‚ Cheers, Greg

  • Welcome mat for Scott Tribe…

Scott Tribe, better known from Progressive Bloggers, has become a Liberal and now – finally – has his own site. He’s already got the Liblogs logo up on his site, so I suppose he’ll be joining us too. I’m adding…
