Lets review what Kathleen Wynne answered to my five questions (and the blogger conference call)

Now that Kathleen Wynne is the Premier of Ontario (or about to be made formally), I think now might be a good time to review what she said in response to the 5 questions I sent her and some of the other candidates, and see where she might go:

The first question was why the OLP should pick her to be Premier. Her answer was that she had experience bringing people together, building partnerships, and that leadership depended on building a team. We’re going to see part of that over the next couple of weeks when she decides who to put in Cabinet, as well as the fractures she faces […]

Double history is made with Wynne winning #olpldr

5 years ago, the Democratic Party made history by picking an African-American as their Presidential nominee, and the American people made history by electing him their first African-American president. It is no hyperbole to say that tonight, Ontario Liberals made their own bit of history by a) choosing a woman Premier, and b) choosing an openly gay woman as Premier.

It will only be historic in the same vein as Barack Obama if the people of Ontario elect her back to the Premiership when the next election comes up. That will not be easy; I feel the hard part is not what Wynne’s sexual orientation will be viewed […]

Blogging conference call with Kathleen Wynne – Ontario Liberal Leadership hopeful.

In the last week, Kathleen Wynne’s campaign team sent out inquiries to several Liberal bloggers (up to 15 I believe) asking us if we’d like to participate in a Liberal blogger conference call with them, to ask questions of Ms. Wynne and to hear some of her pitches (that wins her a gold star from me that she and her campaign came to us bloggers to ask us if we’d like to participate/ask her questions).

In the end, several of us were on the call. She briefly went over her press release of her proposals for Ontario Liberal Party renewal (we all got the PDF for it; I’ll post it […]

Kathleen Wynne’s responses to my questions

Kathleen Wynne and her team have sent in their responses to my questions for the Ontario Liberal Party leadership, and again, I will re-post them verbatim (and just a note: I’m not going to be passing along any commentary on any of these until I receive all of them – or all that I get. I’ll leave the commentary to you folks and then perhaps sum up my thoughts once they are all in and I get a chance to compare them). I thank Ms. Wynne for sending these in.

There are many candidates running to be the Ontario Liberal Party leader. What do you feel makes you best qualified […]

Scorecard Update on Ontario Liberal Party candidates answering questions.

So I’ve had four people from four different campaigns ask me to send out the little questionnaire I’ve prepared to their candidate who is running in the Ontario Liberal Party race: that would be Sandra Pupatello’s campaign, Gerard Kennedy’s, Charles Sousa, and Kathleen Wynne. I’ve not yet heard back from Eric Hoskin’s campaign, or Glen Murray’s (some of that due to the fact I’m not yet aware who is running the latter two’s social media/P.R campaign, else I’d have fired off an email myself).

They’re all at various stages of planning and such, so I was told in some cases it may be a week or 2 or perhaps a […]
